| | Locum Tenens DOD Credential VerificationYou can count on Locum Medical's extensive experience | With our experience, we have learned that verifying the credentials of a locum tenens physician to work at a government facility can take some time. Our group has credentialed many locum tenens physicians and understand the process very well. We know what to ask for from our doctors and when to ask for it. When you work with Locum Medical's Government Division, you can expect that we get the job done right.
When we present candidates for a locum tenens assignment, we are only presenting qualified physicians whose state licenses are unencumbered. These candidates have graduated from an accredited Medical School. They have also successfully completed an internship from an accredited program. We will supply you with either Board Certified or Board Eligible candidates, as the job specs require.
In addition, our standard physician credential verification process always includes confirmation of:
- Minimal or no prior malpractice judgments or awards/settlements.
- Continuous employment in a directly related position (with satisfactory explanation of any absences).
- No prior history of Medicare/Medicaid/ other government conviction for fraud / abuse.
- Satisfactory medical licensure history (i.e. no revocations or suspensions, or a satisfactory explanation if any).
- Satisfactory history of hospital privileges (i.e. no revocation or suspension of privileges / denial or restriction of privileges).
Our verification process also includes:
- Clearance through the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB)
- Clearance / verification of credentials through the AMA Physician Profile Service.
- Clearance / verification of licensure through the Federation of State Medical Boards
Locum Medical's Government Division has developed the expertise required to confirming credentials for locum tenens physicians working in government facilities.
