What is the difference between a locum assignment with the government vs. a private sector client? When you work a government job, you are working with the most stable client available: the United States Government. Government postings tend to be longer term. For most federal contracts, you only need a valid, unrestricted license in one state to work anywhere in the country. These positions provide you with the opportunity to treat active military, retirees, veterans, civil service employees and Native American communities. The variety and volume of work is not typically seen in many commercial settings. Government facilities are located all around the country, from major cities to remote rural communities. And, you will be giving back to your country.
